It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela Eve Ward, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, who passed away at the age of 71, on May 1, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness and a short course of hospice care. Pam was born on February 25, 1955, in Denver, Colorado, the first of five children to George LaGene Kothe (deceased) and Patricia Rose Underwood Kothe.
Pam is survived by her husband, Terry Keith Ward, her children, Mandy E. Bradshaw and Elijah S. Bradshaw (Jalonda), her stepdaughter Christie M. Smith (Luke), her mother, Patricia Rose Underwood Kothe, her sisters Naomi D. Kothe and Pennie J. Rice, her grandchildren Vincent G. Tramutolo, Whitney J. Bradshaw, Shianne J. Hartgrave, Kamya A. Smith, Eve L. Smith, Charles L. Smith and Grace D. Smith.
She was preceded in death by her brother Timothy R. Kothe and her sister Rebecca J. Farrell.
Pam was known to all by her quiet, steadfast spirit – a genuine friend whose love for Jehovah God was her priority. No matter the challenge, she faced life determined to faithfully keep her dedication vow to her Heavenly Father, which she had symbolized by baptism on January 3, 1970. Always mindful of Bible truths, she raised her children with regular Bible study, teaching them the value of living by God’s word and how to regularly share this love of God with others.
On May 5, 2019, Pam married Terry, so happy to have found a partner to share her love for Jehovah God and who was equally determined to steadfastly serve with Pam by his side. Together they relocated from the Denver area to the San Luis Valley, creating a beautiful loving home where all who visited were delighted by their garden and Pam’s baking – the best rolls ever!
Always ready to remind those around her that a world without tears is on the horizon, Pam will be missed, but we are comforted by the words that comforted her, “I have hope toward God . . .that there is going to be a resurrection,” and, “Look, I am making all things new. Also, he says, ‘Write, for these words are faithful and true.’” (Acts 24:15; Revelation 21:5)
A Memorial Service will be held on May 23, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., Mountain Time, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 28 Trosper Drive, Monte Vista, Colorado.
