Mary Pauline Jaramillo, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the age of 81. She was born on October 7, 1944, in Monte Vista, Colorado, to Edward Gutierrez and Maggie Cortez, who preceded her in death.

Pauline lived a life defined by resilience, devotion, and deep love for her family. With a seventh-grade education, she began working at a young age, dedicating many years of hard labor in agriculture during harvest seasons. Her strong work ethic and determination were evident to all who knew her, and she carried those values throughout her life.

In 1961, Pauline married the love of her life, Leroy Jaramillo. Together, they built a life centered on family, perseverance, and shared memories that would last a lifetime.

Pauline found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved playing bingo, fishing, and camping under the open sky. She was an avid fan of wrestling, especially WWE, and never missed an opportunity to watch her favorite matches. She also enjoyed visiting the casino, where she could relax, have fun, and share laughter with loved ones. Above all, Pauline cherished spending time with her family—those moments brought her the greatest happiness and fulfillment.

She is survived by her loving children, Ray Matthew Jaramillo and Carrielee McCracken ; her brothers, Robert (Betty) Gutierrez and Leroy (Belinda) Gutierrez; her four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through each of them, carried forward in the values, strength, and love she instilled.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Maggie Gutierrez; her loving husband Jose Leroy Jaramillo; her sisters, Dolores Gutierrez, Viola (Ike) Martinez, Luis (Neighbor) Jaramillo and Lorraine Gutierrez; and her brothers, Gilbert (Josephine) Gutierrez, Oscar (Ciara) Gutierrez, and Jake (Lucille) Gutierrez.

Pauline will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, her unwavering love, and the way she brought her family together. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
