DEL NORTE - Summer has finally arrived in Del Norte and though the construction is blocking what is sure to be a wonderful view, Music in the Park is the place to be on Thursday nights. It is sponsored by Rhythms on the Rio.
It takes place at North Park/Riverwalk Park area – at the north end of Spruce Street from 6-9 p.m.
This year’s lineup is one for books, bringing musical talent from local and visiting hand-picked bands to liven up summer nights. So, put on those dancing shoes and mark the calendar.
Music in the Park kicked off on June 12 with the Hughs Phillip Band. The park was full of guests eager to enjoy a summer evening outside and as families, friends and neighbors settled down for a night of great music, the band hit the stage, and the summer was officially off to a great start in Del Norte.
Coming up on June 19, Del Norte will welcome FinalEyes, a band from Denver that brings an eclectic 80s edge to their music and is one that is sure to get crowds on their feet to dance the night away.
According to their bio, “We are a high energy, live music show, that plays the biggest dance party hits, made to fill the dance floor. FinalEyes brings you the beat of 80’s rock, today’s hottest hits, and timeless classics. FinalEyes is what you get when you combine the music and live energy, with a full night of entertainment you will never forget. FinalEyes will arouse your senses with outstanding musicianship, amazing vocals and big harmonies, that will blow your mind. We have the energy and talent to bring any party to life.”
Next up, on June 26, guests can come enjoy an intriguing new band who hails from Denver and brings a new sensational sound to their musical venues. “Stone Gray (aka Chad Traxler) is a singer-songwriter who will inspire you with heartfelt lyrics and a one-man-band performance that is fun, soulful, and entertaining. The full Stone Gray accompaniment includes symphony cellist, Emma Guidry, and female vocalist, Talia Jade.”
On July 10, Old School hits the stage followed by Ol’ Scratch and UZ. More information on these bands will be announced soon.
Windsor Hotel is donating accommodations to the visiting band.
Music in the Park also features local food trucks like La Pache Pache and more. Bring a blanket or chair and don’t forget bug spray but come out and have a great time.
