ALAMOSA — SLV Habitat for Humanity is hosting Bike 2 Build, the San Luis Valley Century on Saturday, June 28. A most scenic way to experience the beautiful San Luis Valley and support a great cause.
Habitat for Humanity celebrates over 30 years of serving families in the San Luis Valley with affordable homeownership. Habitat for Humanity builds homes with low-income families who are unable to receive a loan from traditional lending sources. Construction is done by applicant families and volunteers. When a house is completed, the applicant families purchase the home from Habitat for Humanity with a no-profit, 0% interest mortgage.
Bike 2 Build is an annual fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity. Cyclists and supporters are both welcome. To register for the ride or to make a donation, see Habitat’s webpage www.slvhabitat.org. In-person registration will also be on Friday, June 27, from 4-6 p.m. at the Alamosa Family Recreation Center.
