Heaven gained another angel on December 19, 2025 at 5:25 pm when the Lord called Barbara Harmon Faucette home to end her pain.
Barbara was born in Alamosa, Colorado to Ewin Harmon and Alice Rowe Harmon on December 27th, 1945. She grew up in Monte Vista with her siblings Diane (Gary) Stone, Marvin (LeAnn) Harmon, and Jonna (Brian) Meuer.
Barbara married Glenn Faucette and had four beautiful children Alan Faucette, Larry (Nancy) Faucette, Glenna (Denise) Faucette, and Lisa Vialpando. Her children gave her a reason to live, to fight for her life, and to find joy in every day.
Her grandchildren were the rewards every grandma receives after raising a wonderful family. Austin Bowers, Jared Bowers, Tyler (Elizabeth) Faucette, Haley (Tom) Ben Shimon, Alan (Kristina) Faucette, Shannon Faucette, Jeffery (Ana) Vialpando, Jessica Vialpando, and Donovan Vialpando; each filled her heart when she thought it could hold no more.
Her great grandchildren were the blessings she never expected in life. Alexia Salazar, Ryker Faucette, Scarlett Bowers, Alexandria Faucette, Brian Boyer, Flint Laughlin, and Ella Jean Ben Shimon; were the miracles that healed her soul even before she knew she still needed healing.
Barbara was loved by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family members, friends, and clients. She loved each one very much and could tell a story that made her beam with pride about each one of you. The love of her family kept Barbara smiling even on the darkest of days.
Barbara loved her community, and it loved her, as she spent most of her life in service of others. From the counter girl at Woolworths to her decades as a Downtown Merchant with The Turquoise Shop. Barbara served on boards to help with the economic development of Downtown Alamosa, was a member of the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows, and always supported events associated with the Alamosa youth. Her favorite event was the Early Iron Car Show and the scavenger hunt downtown.
Barbara spent her final years with a new love for life because of the blessing the lord sent her in Briggs. After her life changed to a life she was unsure she could live, the Lord sent her final blessing. A new love to show her that no matter what her life was like it was worth living until the day he was ready for her to come home.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Ewin and Alice Harmon, her husband Glenn Faucette, her brother Marvin Harmon, both sets of grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.
