Alfirio Augustine Sandoval

Alfirio Augustine Sandoval, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, in Westminster, Colorado, at the age of 91. 

Born on March 18, 1935, in Northern New Mexico Alfirio lived a life defined by faith, family, kindness, and love. A devoted man of God, he carried a deep and unwavering faith throughout his life, finding strength, purpose, and peace in his relationship with the Lord. 

Alfirio was known for his gentle nature, warm heart, and wonderful sense of humor. He was a natural jokester who could brighten any room with his smile and laughter. His patience and understanding were unmatched. Family and friends knew him as someone who never held a grudge and always offered love, support, and forgiveness. 

Above all else, Alfirio cherished his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Maryann Sandoval, and a loving father who dedicated his life to caring for and supporting those he loved. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, sharing stories, laughter, meals, and special moments together. 

Alfirio also set an enduring example of love through the devotion he showed to Maryann throughout their marriage. Their affection, respect, and partnership were evident to everyone who knew them and served as an inspiration to their children, grandchildren, and all who witnessed their bond. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Maryann Sandoval; his children, Josie (Randy) Gellner, Alfred Sandoval, Donna Sandoval, and Linda (Randy) Baird; and his cherished grandchildren, Amanda Baird, Tyler Baird, Tanner Cahall, and Kyle Cahall. He is also survived by extended family members and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. 

Though his family grieves his loss, they find comfort in knowing that he is now in the loving presence of his Lord and Savior. His legacy of faith, compassion, humor, patience, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. 

Alfirio will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever treasured.  

Vigil Service will be held on July 1,2026 at 10:30 AM and Mass of the Resurrection to follow at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos. Burial will follow at the Ortiz Cemetery.
