ALAMOSA – The Alamosa High School girls gymnastics team finished in fifth place at the Mountain Vista Region Tournament Friday in Westminster.
The Lady Mean Moose scored 152.6 points.
Haylie Martin led the Lady Mean Moose as she finished 10th in the all-around with 33.18 points. She tied for ninth on the balance beam with 8.475 points, was ninth on the vault with 8.875, 16th on the uneven bars with 7.825 points, and 23rd on the floor exercise with 8.0.
Kenya Hostetter was 16th in the all-around with 30.23. She tied for 21st on the vault with 8.3, was 23rd on the bars with 7.150, 23rd on the beam with 6.975, and tied for 25th on the floor with 7.8.
Braelyn Martinez was 18th in the all-around with 28.73. She tied for 17th on the vault with 8.4, tied for 20th on the floor with 8.1, was 26th on the bars with 5.825, and 26th on the beam with 6.4.
Kianna Morales finished 19th in the all-around with 28.50. She was 25th on the beam with 6.825, tied for 25th on the floor with 7.8, tied for 26th on the vault with 8.2, and was 28th on the bars with 5.675.
Taylor Off placed 25th in the all-around with 21.98. She was 20th on the bars with 7.6, 27th on the beam with 6.225, and 28th on the floor with 8.150.
Leah Pintor took 26th in the all-around with 21.35. She was 22nd on the bars with 7.375, tied for 25th on the floor with 7.8, and was 28th on the beam with 6.175.
Chloe Kern tied for 29th in the all-around with 16.45. She tied for 14th on the floor with 8.4 and was 22nd on the floor with 8.050.
Niwot was the regional champion with 180.025.
State is next
Most of the Lady Mean Moose have qualified for the state meet which will take place Friday and Saturday in Thornton.
Martin will compete in all four events. Kern will compete in the floor and vault, Off and Pintor on the bars, and Hostetter and Martinez on the vault.
