DEL NORTE— Lifelong Del Norte resident Rose Trujillo, 89, passed away peacefully November 10, 2019 at the River Valley Inn Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. Rose was born on November 5, 1930 in Del Norte, Colorado, the daughter of Nacor Gallegos and Presiliana Medina Gallegos. Rose was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed going to bingo, cooking, going on walks and spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.
She will live on through her children Donna (Henry) Lujan of Del Norte, CO; Richard (Theresa) Trujillo of Colorado Springs, CO; Jerry (Pauline) Trujillo of Pueblo, CO; Geraldine Trujillo (Leonard Medina) of Del Norte, CO; grandchildren Michelle Wright, Denise Garcia, Nancy Trujillo all of Pueblo, CO, Dominic Trujillo, Monique Trujillo, Nicholas Trujillo, Briana Trujillo all of Colorado Springs, CO, Lawrence Trujillo, Nichole Martinez, Tiffany Cordova all of Del Norte, CO; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters Bernie (Jake) Valdez of Denver, CO; Ramoncita (Ernie) Trujillo, of Denver, CO; Irene (Leroy)Maes of Clearfield, UT; Pat Melgoza of Greeley, CO. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents Nacor Gallegos and Presiliana and Alfonso Gurule, sister Floripa (Lubin) Velasquez, brothers Toby Gallegos  and John Gurule.
A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Del Norte. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 10:00 AM also at Holy Name of Mary. Interment will follow at the Del Norte Cemetery.
