Reader appreciates Let’s cancel fear story

Thank you, Rebecca Copley, for being the voice of reason in last Wednesday’s edition. This is truly an unprecedented time in our history. The truth is that the RECOVERY rate in our country (as opposed to the preferred “death rate” in the media) has improved from 95 percent to almost 99 percent since March 6 according to the World Health Organization. Good news!
And thanks to a diligent team of hard working truckers goods (like the diapers and baby aspirin that those like my daughter needs) are in supply or on their way. So resist hoarding. There never was a shortage...only panic.
Also if you have a business or nonprofit here, help is apparently on its way from our benevolent overseers of our tax money in Washington and Denver but there is an additional zero-interest loan source you may not be aware of at www.Kiva.org. I have supported their services in behalf of enterprises in developing nations but they have recently opened their outreach into the U.S. due to the current health emergency. Worth looking into.
And if and when the personal and business assistance checks do arrive, don’t forget to tithe. Your local church needs it as much or more than anyone. They were one of the first facilities to close down and their budget (like everyone else’s) continues in spite of government orders. And in case you didn’t know, the God you serve has promised to personally rebuke the “devourer” for your sake in response. That’s as good a defense against COVID-19 as I’ve heard!
So if you missed the “Let’s Cancel Fear” article in last week’s Journal, check it out. I’ll gladly send you a copy if you missed it. And stay safe and healthy and faithful according to Philippians 4:6-9. . .and the God of Peace will be with you. That’s a promise.
