Pickleball tournament headed to Creede

CREEDE—FOMCES, Friends of Mineral County Emergency Services, puts the “FUN” in fundraising by sponsoring a pickleball tournament benefitting the Mineral County Fire Department, EMS, and Search & Rescue volunteers.
Registration closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17. The public is invited to attend; see first-hand how the game is played while cheering on their favorite players. The event will be held at the Creede Recreation Center (Old Gym) on Saturday, Aug. 18 at 8 a.m. The tournament is a round robin format with male and female players and cash prizes for the winners, but even more importantly, bragging rights until the next tournament. There is a $20 entry fee per person.
Participation in this event benefits the FOMCES fundraising efforts to provide financial support for the Mineral County Emergency Services and their invaluable life-saving rescues and assistance to the entire community.
Everyone is invited to come, spectate and enjoy the fun. For more details about the pickleball tournament, contact Jon Harshaw at 817-313-2885. Register for this event by contacting Kathryn Short at 719-658-2729 or at [email protected]
