Hour of Code at Carnegie Library

MONTE VISTA/SOUTH FORK - We are excited to offer a new children’s computer class at the library. “Hour of Code” is a web-based computer science activity that empowers students to learn how to “code” or write a program or message for a computer. It develops patience, persistence, and a sense of accomplishment when students use their problem-solving skills to complete the individual activities.

Students progress through the activities at their own pace and are guided by a retired teacher who has taught The Hour of Code as an elective at Bill Metz Elementary School. The class is six session for grades 3-5. Dates will be Fridays, October 9, 16, 23, 30, November 6 and 13 from 2-3 p.m. Class size is limited to please call 719-852-3931 to reserve your students spot in the class. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed with masks, social distancing and hand sanitizing. You need to supply your students mask.
