Dear Editor,
Citizens of Del Norte and South Fork, let’s band together and bring pride back to our community by voting YES on Del Norte School Bond Initiative 3A.  There will never be a better opportunity than right now to support our future through improving the learning environment for our students.  
The Del Norte School District has been awarded the Building Excellent Schools Today (BEST) Grant which provides 60 percent of the funding necessary to build a campus that will move our students into the future.  Through local funding we need to raise the other 40 percent to make this happen. Let’s help our children learn with modern technology. Let’s get our facilities up-to-date with efficient heating systems and compliant with ADA accessibility laws. Let’s improve overall efficiency and lower operating costs by having students, teachers and classrooms along with services such as the cafeteria, counseling and nursing under one roof instead of working out of multiple buildings.
Some of the current buildings are historic and valuable.  There is interest by several entities that want to repurpose these buildings for community organizations and economic development for office spaces. The overall goal is to reuse all the many buildings in some manner.    
Let’s make the “impossible” possible!
