Lamborghini event held at the Rio Grande Club

...

South Fork – Twenty-five Lamborghini sports cars graced the parking lot of The Rio Grande Club & Resort this past Saturday. The semi-private club hosted a private corporate group of twenty-five Lamborghini owners welcoming them to a lunch event in South Fork, CO.
Every year the Lamborghini Group picks a part of the country for car owners to meet up for a scenic drive and enjoy a different part of America’s highways. It’s part of the service and perks of owning one of their vehicles. This year was Colorado’s highways and byways beginning in Colorado Springs and the Royal Gorge, including a stop in South Fork for lunch, and ending in Taos, NM. The luxury sports cars are shipped in to the starting location, driven along a pre-selected route, and then shipped back to their respective states. This year’s group ranged from California to North Carolina, with one car owner from Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
The semi-private club often hosts corporate events of varying group sizes and enjoys introducing businesses from all over the country to South Fork and the San Luis Valley. The night before RGCR hosted a group of forty-seven from the Masonic Denver Commanderie Knights Templar that arrived by bus and stayed at the newly renovated Quality Inn.  Executive Chef Mick Hug prepared custom menus for each group and the Rio Grande Club team looks forward to having both groups back in the future.
The Rio Grande Club is under new ownership, purchased by the Freeman Group in October of 2016, and has invested over $3,200,000 in much-needed renovations and updates to the golf course and clubhouse and future developments. The semi-private club has two restaurants and golf play open to the public and facilities and social events available through three different memberships.
“We love hosting corporate events and believe our facility is welcoming to tourists, community residents, and corporate businesses. With 25,000 square feet of facility space there’s a lot we can do to accommodate groups of various sizes.  We were excited to host the Lamborghini group and would love to see their cars in the parking lot again at some point.” – Todd Small, General Manager
