CREEDE— John Leggitt passed away at the age of 71 on March 27, 2017.
He was born to Parley (William) Leggitt and Genevieve (Reynolds) Leggitt on Sept. 19, 1945.
John enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, woodworking and spending time on his back porch with that beautiful view. He loved watching his Denver Broncos, a nice drive to Cripple Creek and a good cup of coffee with great company.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Kay (Neufeld) Leggitt; five children, Tammy (Francisco) Rojo, Kevin (Jennifer) Leggitt, William Leggitt, Kimberly Nicholas, Melvin Miller (Angela Frizon); grandchildren, Timothy Pacheco, Ana Rojo, Maria Saenz, Lourdes Rojo, Finn Leggitt, Fisher Leggitt, Katrina Jensen, Amanda Miller, Brandon Nicholas, Dustin Nicholas and 16 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by brothers, Ed Leggitt, of Florence Colo., Phil and Kenny Leggitt, of Creede, Dean Leggitt, of South Fork, Bill Leggitt of Ft. Collins; sisters, Verna Bulger, of Colorado Springs, Phyllis Logan, of Post Falls, Idaho; Carolyn Jones, of Victorville, Calif.; Irene of New Mexico and Frances, of Spokane, Wash.
John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Leroy, William, Sam Leggitt and sister Violet Stone.

Services were held at Holt Funeral Home on March 30, and burial was at the Creede Cemetery.
