Jan Edward Meadows, 67

BRIGHTON, Colo.— Jan Edward Meadows, a San Luis Valley native passed away on March 28, 2019 at 4:38 p.m. in the Platte Valley Medical Center. Jan suffered from colon cancer.
Jan was born in Alamosa, Colo. May 25, 1951. He is the son of James Burton Meadows and Billie (Peckum) Meadows.
Jan leaves behind a wife, Rheda Meadows; four sons, Billy Lankford, Brian Lankford, Brandon Meadows and Brooks Meadows, as well as eight grandchildren, and his father Jim Meadows and a sister, Connie (Meadows) Whitehead (Steve) & sons Kodi & Evan Whitehead, brother Jay Webb (Carla) & Sister Kim Webb.  
There are numerous other family members he leaves behind. He will be missed by all that knew him. Jan was a happy man who never met an enemy.
Jan graduated from Sargent High School in 1969 and worked at his father’s liquor store before moving on to various other jobs. He and his family moved to Lochbuie, Colo. in 2007.
He was preceded in death by his Mothers, Billie (Peckumn) Meadows and Shirley (Pennock) Webb; one sister Cheryl (Webb) Wiescamp and nephew Blake Webb.
There will be a celebration of life this summer, to be announced at a later date.
