DNHS Theatre presents ‘The Mousetrap’

DEL NORTE—The Del Norte High School Theater under the direction of Bill Sauvigne presented Agatha Christie’s, “The Mousetrap” on April 2, and 5th with two similar yet unique versions by two separate casts.

In typical Agatha Christie style this murder mystery, with a little nursery rhyme homage to the Three Blind Mice, left the audience guessing until the very end. From serious distress of newly-wed guest house owners cut off by a snowstorm, to hard to please guests like Mrs. Boyle and comical antics from Christopher Wren, this play was an absolute delight to the very end of one unsuspecting guest.

While it always seems that those on stage get all the accolades there was also a great behind the scenes effort by a group of kids referred to as techies: Ricardo Gomez, Chassity Villa, Gabby Jenner and Andrew Phelps, in addition to Jacob Thacker, student director; Rocio Pinion; Charlie Davis, stage manager; Will Perez, sound designer and Mark Pierce, prop master.

Also noted in the program was help in set design and building from the woods & construction and art students and teachers, plus a great trailer for the play
