Alyce Ann Kolisch, 85

CREEDE—Longtime resident of Creede, Alyce Ann Kolisch, 85, passed away June 12, 2018 at Rio Grande Hospital in Del Norte.
She was born in Creede on April 1, 1933 to Allen and Margie Hosselkus. She was married to Richard (Dick) Kolisch on Jan. 17, 1950. Together, they raised four children, Trudy, Richard, Mike and Virginia. Baby Walt graced their lives for a few hours.
Alyce Ann was known for her big heart, great smile and sense of humor, loyal friendship, and her work ethic. She worked at the Ramble House, was custodian for Creede Schools, the Forest Service and cleaned cabins for the many of the area ranches and individuals including the 4UR and Soward’s Ranch.
Alyce Ann was a member of the St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, the Rebekah Lodge, and she was a leader for Theta Roe and Girl Scouts for many years. She cherished her family and friends. She was loved by many.
Alyce Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Margie and in-laws, Bill and Bertha, her husband, Richard (Dick), her son Mike, her granddaughter, Andrea, her brothers Tommy, Bert, Kurt, Delbert, Paul (Sonny); her sisters, Alene Rae, Phyllis, Candy and Peggy (Sister). Brother and sister in laws Billie (Connie), Bertie Jane (Gordy).
She is survived by her daughter, Trudy (Rod) and great grandchild, Ashley; son, Richard (Vickie) and grandchildren, Travis (Toni) and Jessica (Dave); grandchildren Bethney (Buddy), Rachel (Mike), Mikayla (Tony II), daughter, Virginia (Mike) and grandchildren Christopher (Melody), Regina (Ben), Aaron (Erin). Great grandchildren include Ashley, Lily, Giana, Tressa, Christopher, Anna Marie, Tony III, Dominic, Harley, Atticus, Bristol, Jack, Clara, Fulton, Luca, with one more on the way. Her surviving siblings include AJ, Henry (Sherrie), John Howard (Brigitte) Sandy, Jimmy, Kenny (Pat),Yvonne),(Jeannie Kay) and Karen. Brothers-in-law include Stan (Virginia), Karl (Francis). There are many more nieces, nephews and other family members.
Services are being held on June 23 at 11 a.m. at the Community Church, 410 S. Main St. in Creede. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, P.O.
